Did you know?

First names were most often used by childhood or school friends. If the friendship was made after school age, first names would only really be used by women. Men were far more likely to refer to their friends by their surnames, a mark of familiarity. — Documentation

WANTED:

Emilia Wright for Jude Wright. Casually alienating offspring since 18882.
Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

June 1st, 1888 — Padmore Park, by the lake
Joella's siblings were back from school which meant that the household had a little more help than usual. Thus, Joella had felt it quite her right to slip away and escape into Padmore Park. She was loitering by the lake when she spotted a duckling. Wasn't it a bit early for those? Joella was not fond of animals - that was more Tabitha's thing - so she edged away from it. She had edged a little too far away though because she ended up falling into the lake. Sputtering, she looked akin to a drowned rat as she fought to get back onto the shore. "Merlin, a bit cold for a swim," she said wryly to a girl nearby.

Her uncle had to quickly drop a letter on their way to grandmother's office, she was not sure how long would he take, but she knew those letters were important to him and that he like take his time to read and reply to them... In fact, Lettie had dreamed about her uncle, but she dares to not say out loud what she had dreamed in fear that truth or not that her words might seal his fate, although, if it was true she was not the only in the house who thought the laws of non-human casts were unfair... But she knew that a ladies word had small power in this world she lives.

She asked her uncle to drop her by the park, while he went to the Owlery Emporium, she like the park, mostly during Spring and Winter, the birth and end of a cycle, she noticed a few ducklings and passion as she was for all living beings, she followed them, carefully walking behind their mother, although, her attention had shifted as she saw a girl not far away falling on the lake "Goodness, are you alright?" she quickly look along her belongings for something to help the girl, sadly the only thing she could find was a box of chocolate frogs that she was saving for her brother, yet, she took a box of her purse and gave to the girl "I wish I had more at my hands or knew any charm to dry your clothes, but I had not learned yet such thing, thought I will make note to add to my priorities but have one chocolate frog, they may help you warm you a bit and smooth your heart rate."

"All right enough for someone who just fell into a lake," Joella said as she worked on at least wringing the water out of her hair. Joella just hoped that she wouldn't catch a cold. That would set things back quite a bit. Looking over at the chocolate frog, she eyed the girl suspiciously before letting go of her hair to accept it. "I don't really like sweets so one is more than enough, thank you," Joella said gratefully. Besides, it would be nice to have something in her belly.

She barely knew the girl, but her empathy nature could not simply do nothing, so while she suspiciously accept her offering she quickly said "Hold on Mademoiselle." and grabbing her dress and cloak to not get dirt, she dashes quickly toward her carriage and fetch one of her extra cloaks, a pair of gloves and a hat, and quickly return "Quickly, put this on before he notices." she said eye signal to the man enjoying his cigar. She knew it wasn't much, however, it would help her get a bit warmer and pass for another upper-class girl, since the cloak was long enough to conceal her wet clothes, in fact, she was glad she had a passion for those versatile new cloaks instead of the traditional design. "You should as soon you could dry your feet, otherwise you might catch a could. I wish I could do mo... Oh, how delightful, Mister Llyod you will not believe, I just encountered Miss..." Letitia completely change her speech as she notices Hector Lloyd's figure approaching, her escort and butler, although her eloquent attempt to fool him almost was exposed, yet, she quickly had a déjà vu of last night dream "Wood, you surely had heard of the Woods, right? But, you will not believe this, her escort had simply abandoned her, apparently, he was none other than a scoundrel, can you believe it? I think as any member of upper-class we should assist her, so, if I am not mistaken aside from my tutoring with Grandmother, I believe our schedule is free for today, correct?" her butler was overwhelmed with his young mistress speech and simply nod "Marvellous, then make sure to fit Mademoiselle Wood in today's schedule." he nods and took notes in the little journal he carried around while she quickly turns to the girl and smiled at her, and whisper so only she could hear her "I am Letitia, Letitia Thompson, but you may call me Letty."

Joella didn't know what to make off Miss Rich. She was surprised at what the girl came back with. Who was she to say no to free clothing though? People would probably think she stole it but she hardly cared. She followed the girls example, curious about where this might all lead up to. Some hoity toity man came along and she was mildly impressed. Rich Girl could possibly make a great con artist. Then again, that was also the opinion of an eleven year old so what did Joella really know? "I'm Joella Wood. Does the man gotta do all that ya say?"
