Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Endy had been provided with a new opportunity. Hestia had brought him along to some new inn she had. Well, it was more than that and he had duties to perform. But the most important thing in all this was he had a room. His own bed. The sheets were scratchy and the pillow might as well have been a sheet of paper but hey, it was something.
He had ventured out to take stock of his surroundings. He had been in London before, of course but not as a full time resident of it. He quickly wished he had not as dragons of all things were flying around. He had deftly hidden himself away and was slowly trying to make his way back towards Diagon Alley and thus The Iron Fang. There were bodies here and there as he passed through the London streets and Endy pilfered from them. It wasn't like they could take it to the afterlife with them.
Eventually, he spotted a familiar face, he was about to call out to her when a dragons shadow flew over them. He shut himself up and stayed very still.
Self-preservation was the first thing that came to mind when the dragons descended upon the streets. The second was hoping that every kid she’d ever come across or given a meal to was safely back in Hogsmeade, and not among this bloody mess (it was an odd thing to realize that there were now souls existing in the world that she valued above her own; not that she’d willingly admit it to anyone). With precious little to do other than keep out of sight and out of danger, Hestia had begun to make her way towards safety, wherever the bloody hell that led her.
Using every skill of stealth, contortion, awareness, detection that she could muster, Hestia tried her best to keep from getting caught in the flow of bodies as they rushed down the street. The only good thing that came out of this was her pockets were a few items heavier. With her hand clasped firmly around a gold broach that had conveniently fallen down on the ground, Hestia slipped into the shadows under a window and stayed there for a count of thirty.
When the street cleared, she quickly stole from her hiding spot, only to hear the rustle of wings and for the sound of something heavy soaring through the sky. Eyes wide, Hestia immediately dropped to the pavement and ducked behind a trash can. Scanning the street to see if the dragon might have spotted someone else (and was thus headed further away from her), Hestia’s eyes landed on a familiar figure. Shit. ‘Nico!’ She didn’t dare make a sound, but her mouth moved as if she had. Then she gestured wildly for him to get. down.
Hestia was gesturing wildly but she need not have. Nico stayed as still as a statue, his eyes the only thing moving as the dragon moved above them. His heart was in his chest. He had always known he would die young (had already almost died when he had been turned and a couple of other times he would rather not think of) but it felt rather unfair that it would happen when he had been experiencing an upgrade in his circumstances.
He just hoped Hestie would be fine. If not for the sake of those children she had under her guidance. The dragon moved along but who knew if it would come back. He slowly and methodically made his way towards Hestia, stopping every now and then when he reached any sort of cover. Just in case.
Hestia could only hold her breath as she watched Nico slowly make his way towards her. The seconds seemed to stretch into hours as she stayed rooted to her spot. Her eyes flickered between the creature, to her friend and back again. It was quickly making its way along the street, increasing the distance between them and thus certainly causing Hestia’s blood pressure to return to normal. “Nico,” she dared to hiss if only to keep her voice down and keep it urgent. “Nico, are you hurt?” The closer he got, the more urgent the fluttering of her hands became as she reached towards him, intending to seize him and pull him behind the cover she was taking.
"Nico" shook his head, wanting to use his voice as little as possible while he was still some distance away from her. He felt like collapsing the moment he finally reached the older witch. "Why the fuck are there dragons?" He asked in a low voice though he didn't really expect her to know.
Well thank fuck he was alright, but that still didn’t guarantee his safety for the foreseeable future; neither of their safety. As he came under cover, Hestia ran her gaze over him and was relieved to see for herself there were no discernible injuries to his person. She shook her head vigorously before raising her eyes to peer over down the street. “I have no fucking idea,” She returned, a tremor running through her voice. For some reason the presence of the animals in London had gotten to her more than she thought it would. “And frankly I don’t care, I just want to get us out of here as fast as possible.” She looked back at him. “Do you have everything you need? We should get back to the inn now.”
