Did you know?

First names were most often used by childhood or school friends. If the friendship was made after school age, first names would only really be used by women. Men were far more likely to refer to their friends by their surnames, a mark of familiarity. — Documentation

Emilia Wright for Jude Wright. Casually alienating offspring since 18882.
Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

May 2018

Welcome to May!

The AC is underway—deactivations have been completed, and just a couple of lists remain to tidy up! Remember that if you lost a character you did not wish to lose, you may post in maintenance to take their soul back from the reaper starting Wednesday, May 9th.

Posting Wizard has rolled over! April's winners were Bree with 193 posts, and me (muahaha) with 85. May will see Lauren, Fallin, Grace, Kelly, Te, Olive, Kit, Meeka, Heather, and Lady face off for GLORY AND RICHES.

It is I, your friendly forgetful school quidditch lady!

Hufflepuff won their April 15th (whoops) match against Slytherin, 170 to 130. Snitch to Hufflepuff.

Ravenclaw won their May 5th (less whoops) match against Gryffindor, 230 to 80. Snitch to Ravenclaw.

This concluding our regular school season. The house rankings are:

Ravenclaw (470)
Hufflpeuff (450)
Slytherin (430)
Gryffindor (340)

This means that the May 26th final will be between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff!

MJ is a graphics genius ♡

The end of term is upon us! Currently, Ravenclaw leads in house points with 750, but there's still more than a week left to earn a few more! How, you ask?

There is also the NPC roll for May, which I will be doing at the last minute for maximum drama ;)

June is coming. The Activity Check will be on Saturday, June 2nd. To ensure you survive, please make sure that...
  • Your mini-profile is filled in with height properly formatted
  • All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly!
  • Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  • This one's more for staff, but that your full profile has been filled in ;)
If all of the above are squared away, there should be no reason for you to fall inactive in the upcoming check!  To our new members: the AC requires no work on your part. The staff team simply makes sure the above is seen to!.

New month means new ~stuff—keep your eyes peeled next week for some fun OOC as well as IC!

We are now accepting events for June and, as previously discussed, are porting them over to the board calendar. We already have a bucket full of events geared up, so May should be a good month for characters of any class!

Finally, posting wizard signups for June are open! The competition runs from AC day to AC day, so you have until June 1st to sign up.

-->The Charming Book Club has launched!<--

In advance of our summer reading challenges, A Charming Book Club is “officially” launching today. Less formal than its original iterations, the redesign will allow members to read at their own pace from their own shelves. Participate in (or start!) the discussions to earn yourself some stamps:
