May 17th, 1888 - Magdalena's, Diagon Alley
Felicity had jumped at the chance of dragging her brother along to a bakery grand opening, using the guise of seeing if she could enlist the help of the woman's specialty for the ball she had begun planning. She was ever grateful she'd come when she spotted the pretty and decorative sugar cookies being given out for all to try. She was almost loathe to eat the cookie in her hands, the beautiful colors of the flower decoration on it making it look almost as if it were a real flower in her hands.

She had been grinning down at the cookie with an expression that could only be deemed as pure excitement when she turned rather abruptly to the gentleman beside her she had been certain was her brother. "Aren't these just lovely!" she exclaimed with a wide smile, "I can only imagine what they would look like replicated as cards!" Beaming up at the gentleman, her face fell slightly as her eyes widened when she realized she'd just been exclaiming to a completely stranger.

"Oh my," she quickly said with flushed cheeks as she quickly cast her gaze away from him, "I'm sorry I was sure you were my brother."

Arthur was here for the thing he loved most in the world: baked goods.

People had mostly stopped hitting on him since he got married, which is why Arthur's eyebrows shot straight up as a strange woman started talking to him. They adjusted to a normal level once the girl realized her mistake. "Nah, I'm no one's brother," Arthur said cheerfully.

"They're quite pretty cookies, though." He wouldn't be looking at whatever he purchased for very long before he consumed it.

Felicity ended up smiling at the gentleman as he said he wasn't anyone's brother. "Well lucky you," she said playfully, "Siblings can be a bit awful sometimes though life could be quite boring without, too." She really didn't know what she'd do with out her older siblings. They certainly kept things interesting for her.

"Aren't they?" she mused as she looked back to her cookie, still clearly in awe, "This Magdalena really is a bit of an artist. They almost look real."

Arthur shrugged. He was generally unbothered by his lack of siblings; he didn't like any of his cousins, so what was the likelihood of his liking a sibling?

"Very pretty," Arthur agreed. It was going to taste even better. "What are you planning on getting?"

Felicity looked away from the gentleman at his question to see what all there really was to be bought. It seemed as if there was quite the variety, making choices all the harder.

"I actually think I'd like to get a pie," she said with a grin as she looked back to him, "Father loves cherries so I think I'll surprise him. Though I plan to commission her to make me some treats for an upcoming ball I've planned for my brother's birthday."

"You're planning a ball?" Arthur asked, quirking an eyebrow at her. She didn't look ball-rich, but he also didn't know any better. "Does your brother know yet?"

Surprising someone with a ball seemed downright hilarious.

Felicity nodded at his initial question but paused before answering the second. Percy did know. Or at least he had. But the idea of a surprise ball was too good of one to ignore. She'd have to consider things further but the light in her eyes and the smirk that formed on her lips was enough to show she was thinking on it all now.

"He did know," she said almost conspiratorially, "But now I may need to change my way of thinking.."

Arthur was always happy to be roped in on a scheme, and so he grinned mischievously at her. "I'm just saying," he said, "Surprises are always more fun."

Felicity nodded, turning a grin to the man and nodding her head in appreciation. "Thank you," she said before realizing she didn't know the gentleman's name. She should have introduced herself ages ago! "I'm Felicity Adlard," she added, "I could certainly make sure an invitation finds it's way to you. You were the genius behind the surprise after all."

Arthur grinned, a little mischievous. He loved invitations - mostly he loved parties - but he did not often get invited to the sort of party she was talking about. That was what happened when you dropped a class for gambling and had been arrested once. So it remained to be seen whether or not she'd actually invite him.

"Arthur Pettigrew," he said cheerfully, "I'd appreciate it."

While the name given to Felicity sounded familiar, she couldn't quite place it either. As it was, she did intend to send him an invite should the party happen. There was always the possibility that would be changed somewhere along the way but at that present time he was as good as invited.

"Well then, Mr. Pettigrew," she said with a nod, "Expect and invitation in a few months time." It was then that she did take notice of her brother and knew she had better get a move on. "And with that, I must be on my way," she added with a pleasant smile given, "I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening." And she truly meant that as she left him and headed toward her brother so they could indeed be on their way.
