“Jus’ exploring,” Daisy said breezily, shrugging her shoulders as if to say she was free as a bird in this world, and wouldn’t be missed at the carnival. (She probably wouldn’t be missed at the carnival. They’d all be counting their lucky stars.)
“I’ve never been to Hogsmeade before, see,” she admitted, as Pounce finally wormed out from under her frantic grasp, “even though I am magical.” She insisted - because she was! And she’d go to Hogwarts in September, she would, even if it killed her.
“Already found the best bit, though, seems,” she returned, beaming brightly at Billie’s happy sentiments, rare good fortune that they were. “Maybe ya can show me round some more.” It didn’t look like Pounce would stick around, but... this didn’t have to be the end of her adventuring.
