@"February Lynch"
@"February Lynch"
She'd said she needed time to presumably figure out her thoughts, and two days had apparently been enough. Part of him wanted to believe that it had only taken her two days to decide that walking out on him was a mistake, but there was another, darker (and admittedly more dominant) part of him that it had taken her a mere two days to decide that he was more trouble than he was worth. Of course, that was the mindset that had driven them apart, and it was mindset he needed to immediately get rid of if he had any chance at winning her back.
He knew she would be there later in the evening, there was nothing specific about that description. He'd still arrived at home when he said he would, and with every passing hour found himself growing more anxious than the last.
Finally, when it was well and dark outside, the sound of the fireplace flaring up in the room caught his attention. He stood silently, eyes wide and chest tight, as he stared at the source of the disturbance: February Lynch.
