He'd not expected her to straddle him, but neither was he by any means surprised. Her movements evoked a laughter from his throat, and he teasingly reached up to tug on her brown waves.

"Mm, that you definitely do," he replied, dropping his hands to her hips. "Combat is something we were taught in the auror training program. Fortunately you'll never find yourself on the receiving end of my punches." She could punch him all she wanted, but he'd never be able to hit her the same way. Her punches, while painful in the moment, left little damage; he couldn't say the same for his, considering his size and strength.

He sat up from his position, wrapping his arms around her so she sat, facing him, in his lap.

"You might find yourself on the receiving end of something else, though," he chuckled. Her comments on the ring and their current situation were not lost on him, but it wasn't one he had an answer to; even though he knew he wanted to marry her, the 'when' and the 'how' were still unknown to him. Thus, he let the kiss that followed speak for him, his arms tightening around her as he moved to deepen the kiss.
