Wrath narrowed her eyes slightly at the way Mr. MacNair insulted Hobday because his potion failed. It would be disappointing enough to mess up in a competition like this one but to have the judge mock you because of it, that was just uncalled for. Wrath certainly hoped, for Mr. MacNair's sake, he didn't do it to her should one of her potions fail in such a manner.
By the time he came to inspect her potion, Wrath gave no sign outwardly how she felt about Mr. MacNair's conduct with the last Slytherin in the competition. She did watch him closely however, confident her potion was done properly and should advance her to the next stage.
"Thank you Mr. MacNair," she responded politely. She may have had dark thoughts a few moments ago but that didn't mean she would forget her manners.
When the next potion was announced, Wrath smiled. She rather liked the Draught of Living Death given how much potential it had to get rid of somebody without technically murdering them. Not that she would ever use it in such a way, at least not unless suitably provoked.
Once the call to begin came, Wrath glanced over at her fellow Hufflepuff and caught her wave and nod and returned it. No matter which of them won, at least it would be a win for their House. Not that Wrath intended to let Potts win, not if she could help it. With this being their last potion, Wrath definitely wanted to go home a winner and whatever prize she would get for winning, even if just bragging rights.
As she had been doing so far, Wrath took a moment to gather her ingredients and prepare them, taking extra care to mash her bean to the right consistency. Then she started her potion adding the beans when the time came and stirring the cauldron. It had only been about a year since she learned of this potion so she was very familiar with it. Once she was finished she raised her hand, only then noticing Potts had finished hers only moments before.
