Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
Show a pattern of selfish behaviour with your character. You should have at least three threads (ten posts, three+ yours) of your character doing cruel things. Character accounts cannot be combined.

Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits. — Evangeline RowleinCheck Your Privilege
Things have been kind of quiet and boring. I almost wish that there would be another fog. My coming out is soon though and I suppose I should be hoping for an uneventful time of it but that would be rather dull.
I am starting to look forward to my debut this summer. It was supposed to be this summer but I wanted to stay in the school a little longer. I do quite enjoy being a Pendergast Rose but I do need to debut sometime, I suppose. There is a Hogsmeade Harvest Festival this weekend and my family might pick me up so that I can attend some of the events with them such as the bonfire. So that should be fun, I heard that there will be a pleasure wheel as well.
The Harvest Festival was a fun time. The people in the Pumpkin Regatta made for some entertainment and there were quite a few handsome blokes to admire. Though considering they thought racing a pumpkin across water was a good idea likely means they aren't the sort to be husband material. As my father was more than happy to point out. All the same, it was fun to watch.
I will be debuting in the new year and now that it is almost December, it is feeling more real than ever. I am looking forward to being out in society proper but I am going to mess the school. There are a lot of girls that seem to wish that they could be anywhere else but I personally enjoyed it. I don't know if that makes me odd or something but I don't see the problem with refining ones skills.
I woke up the most terrible news. Someone I knew during my Hogwarts days has passed away due to a carriage accident. How senseless! A young, vibrant life snuffed out by a carriage and a man who was in the streets in the wrong moment. He also lost his life. Not much was said about him. Does he have a family, I wonder? There seems to be quite a lot of death so far in 1890.
It will be February soon - second month of the new year. I have been feeling listless lately. It feels like my life is on pause and I'm taking that to mean that I am ready for my real life to begin. No more schooling of any kind, I'm ready to be out and about in society.
It will soon be the end of my time here at Pendergasts. I have greatly enjoyed my time here but I will soon be too old to attend. Mother says it wouldn't do for a rose to wilt before it has even debuted. Which I thought was an odd thing to say but I suppose it has some truth in it.
My Lytton gown is complete and looks rather lovely. It has little rosettes along the bodice but isn't tacky. As expected fo the designer!
A new source for clothing has appeared! It is run by a woman new to the country, I believe. It will be interesting to see how it fares against Lytton, Gladrags, Twilfit & Tattins and such. I think her chances are good. I attended the grand opening and all the clothing seemed to be fashionable enough and her work is equisite.
I was thankfully not injured in the dragon debacle but my dreams are full of dragons and fire. My family is ever so grateful to Mister Abbott. He is truly a hero in my eyes. I do hope I can see him again soon.
