The cool draft on her skin was replaced by a warmth from within as he stroked her arm. It was soothing to the point of sleepiness, and despite her efforts to keep her eyes open, she felt them fluttering shut.

"I'm at least stronger than you've given me credit for," she crooned, relaxing into his body with her cheek pressed against his chest. "But not strong enough to resist you, though If you hadn't kissed me then," she said, letting out a yawn, "I would have done it sooner or later."

Jamie shrugged at her initial remark. Then chuckled again at the follow up. He was about to say something about how he was, indeed, quite irresistible. He didn't get the chance to. Not before his jaw dropped at her admission at the end. It was obvious that was something he hadn't expected.

His hand stilled as he looked down at her, the shock more than evident on his face. "Really now?" he asked, lips pulling into a smirk as he regard her with a raised brow.

Bella leaned back and rolled her eyes. "Don't give me that look," she scolded, her bottom lip jutting out into a pout. "Do you think I would have let you kiss me if I didn't want to kiss you?" she challenged. "And besides," she added, leaning forward to peck him on the lips, "you have a nice face."

Jamie continued to give her that look, cause, why not? He couldn't make it that easy on her, after all. Not after all they'd been through. Yelling at each other more often than not. It was.. strange, really. To have her there naked in his bed. Having her kiss him in a such a simple and chaste way as though it was an everyday occurrence.

Her final remark had him barking out with laughter again though. He shook his head as he finished laughing. "Glad to know I've got at least one thing going for me then," he said with a chuckle before rolling over to lay slightly on his back. His hands came up behind his head to lace his fingers together while he looked up to the ceiling.

Bella made a noise of disapproval as he rolled over and quickly followed suit, curling up under his arm with her head resting on his chest. "I'd list the other things going for you, but I don't think I ought to feed your ego anymore today," she retorted, a hand traveling across the planes of his chest.

"But speaking of feeding," she said, angling her head so she could see his face, "I fully plan on raiding your pantry in search of food. I stormed out this morning without touching breakfast," she admitted, sitting up with the covers tucked under her arms. "Would you like something?"

Jamie was actually pretty content to just lie there and not move. He was sure he could easily fall asleep right then and there. He couldn't do so, unfortunately with her continuing to run her hand along his chest and to talk. He even groaned when she sat up. Lifting his head up slightly so that he could look to her, he gave a slight shrug.

"I'm alright," he answered, really not feeling all that hungry. At least not for food. "Maybe just something to drink," he added so that it didn't seem like he was dismissing her entirely or anything. Truthfully, he wanted her to come back to his bed even if it was just to lie there and go to sleep.

Bella reached over and ran a hand through his hair, a smile on her face. "I'll bring you back a glass of water; you look like you need it," she teased. He was covered with sweat from head to toe, leaving Bella convinced she'd be doing his laundry before the week of out (because she couldn't trust him to do it).

It took a moment to muster the courage, but Bella eventually dropped the sheet and scurried off the bed, hoping to escape the room before giving him time to stare. For all she thought him handsome, she wasn't fully convinced he thought the same of her.
