Poor, poor Miss Lovegood. I have heard of your tragic wedding and the rumors flooding around it. I applaud your bravery - though I know many believe you left the Minister at the alter out of cowardice. As a romantic soul myself, I can understand your reasoning. I fully believe you did not love him, which was why you could not commit yourself to him. Love is the most important thing to have for a person you are to marry.

You've become such a tragic heroine. I imagine you spend your days shut in, afraid to read the papers or see new people for fear of whatever harsh gossip they will bring you. I don't blame you. I don't remember much about you from our school days, though that's likely due to my memory not being so great as it is.

Despite this, I am certain that you are a lovely, intelligent, beautiful woman that my romantic heart has decided to love wholly. I hope you find your true love and can happily marry in life. Do come visit me at the hospital some day.

Dear Mr. Connolly,

I cannot say which I find more astounding: that you can write such an overtly mocking and cruel letter to someone you do not know, or that you are so foolish as to attach your full name to such a letter!

I cannot imagine how you might find my past so amusing or why you bring it up now, but it is ungentlemanly and disgracefully unkind. I hope whatever sport you found in sending that letter is enough to satisfy you so you needn't send another to myself or any other lady.
