Marry Me - Juliette Fernsby - October 13, 2021

For the sake of reference, here is the video that I will be referencing.

The basic premise is, character A bluntly approaches character B and proposes. They then promptly negotiate the terms of this marriage. In the video, the two reach a deal breaker.

But what would be more fun than if the two characters reach no immediate deal breaker and decide to get hitched? This can turn out in three ways, to be a love match, neutral acceptance of one another, or bitter tolerance.

I have a few characters in mind that might actually work for this.

Sweetie Whitledge...
  • My first and most prominent choice.
  • Most likely to do the blunt proposal.
  • A coworker that she would feel to be a reasonable approach would be her most likely choice.
  • Least likely to end as a love match.


@"Acacia Ruskin"...
  • Most likely to be approached.
  • 50/50 percent chance of accepting the proposal on the first discussion, but knows her options are limited.
  • Would likely try her best to at least make the marriage a happy one.


Juliette Fernsby...
  • 50/50 on approach vs. being approached.


Anyone have a character that would fit any of these dynamics? I would put Charles, but I don't think he's desperate enough yet.

That video was hilarious xD I'd be super into a thread like that, but I'd want to wait until the thread happened to see what the outcome is (vs agreeing that they'll marry beforehand). I only have three single gentlemen though...

Bellamy Echelon (UCPB 21) is most likely to agree because he's just out of touch with everything. He also could ask but not without context and thread buildup first. He's also pretty young to marry.

Fortitude Greengrass (MCPB 25) would never ask and is very unlikely to agree unless he feels like he somehow compromised the woman's prospects.

And technically Gideon Ollivander (MCPB 36) but I'm considering vacationing him when his current threads wrap.

If you end up deciding a guy might do this later my female options are more likely to agree I think xD

I've a few characters considering this - no men I'm afraid.

Ginevra Blackwood is my most likely - 'Hey appropriate dude, lets make a pragmatic marriage that is vaguely cordial'

Elizabeth Cardew as well, but hers is more to secure her ability to work.
