THIS IS: Kaatjie - Kaatjie Spaans - August 16, 2024


Meet Kaatjie! A MCHB incoming first year, she had a sheltered but somewhat transient upbringing in Oostvert for most of her life. After her mother died in 1892, Kaat moved to Hogsmeade, where she is very excited to start her first year of Hogwarts. She is presented as a niece to her uncle (because she is) although people may wonder about her origins. Her family is upper middle class.
CHILDREN/HOGWARTS STUDENTS: I would love to thread Kaatjie with other incoming first years! She is also likely to have friends in Hogsmeade, especially in Bartonburg. For the first yearish she was in Scotland she got a lot of English lessons from her cousin's governess because she struggled to understand what was going on unless people were talking slowly, but she's mostly caught on by now — happy for this to have led to either conflicts of misunderstanding or Kaatjie blank slate making friends with people but not actually knowing them as well as she should. She will also soon be at Hogwarts!
DEMPSEYS: I would love to crash your threads with others with Kaatjie trying to quietly Observe you to try to understand her paternal family.

I've got Mo! Ramona Pendergast who is you know a ~loose cannon UCPB and doesn't care too much about that stuff, especially entering school. She can be anywhere in town reasonably!

That's it until she hits Hogwarts XD

Georgie wants to be friends yesterday! I don't think they would have crossed paths before school, but Gia's going to so excited to meet another girl like her, someone special.

Themis will take great interest in her when she gets to school, provided she isn't awful in Astronomy.
