Introducing | Cordelia - Cordelia Emsworth - July 23, 2024
C O R D E L I A
 Cordelia Emsworth | Delia's app sort of wrote itself while playing our first round of Botany. There are pictures to prove it lol. She's precocious, adventurous and loyal. She's also stubborn, one-track-minded and eccentric. She is a well-traveled, fairly-successful botanist (the sciecne instead of medical side of plants), with a sister who is currently stuck as a beetle and is part of a magical botany society that will be named shortly. Friends: likely from back at Hogwarts, where Delia was social and a little mischievous, once she got the jitters out after the Sorting. Very much a Gryffindor, she would have befriended anyone she thought needed a champion or a good friend. Ladies or gents within a couple years of her, or in her year in a different house, all welcome! Enemies/Rivals: lbr she's loud and brash and not everyone likes that. I would also love maybe for a professional rival, aside from her ex husband of course. Any friends of Hadrian's (incoming by MJ soon) will likely either side with him, justifiably, or still like her because she's Spunky. Romance: this is a clusterfuck and not her focus at all, but I do love Drama. She's still very much in love with Hadrian, but also hung up on the past and has no idea how to handle it. Cynthia is her main focus right now anyway. The Sister: her sister Cynthia (b. 1867) is currently stuck as a large beetle thanks to a curse that is partially Hadrian's fault. She can only speak to Delia at the moment, and Dee is working her ass off to get her sister back to normal! |

Alright here is what I have for you:
Window, Lucy Hutton was two years ahead of her (Gryffindor '79) but is of the same class and similar personality as her. Lucy is also close friends with Percy's sister Catherine Smith. I can 100% see them including her in their group and being very close with her. Lucy will side with her on the divorce as well.
Also at school at the same time was Jeremy Ashford (Hufflepuff '82), a year behind her, but of the same set. I can see the two of them having gotten along really well. Up to you how close you'd like them to be. You know what a people pleaser Jer is. Also Fred Plunkett was Gryffindor '80 so a year ahead her. I 100% could see them having been friends or at least friendly. He's a ball of energy and likely would have flirted with her toward the end of their time at Hogwarts. Oh and Rufus Bixby was a Gryffindor '83 and definitely would have at least interacted with her. THEN I also have Hugh Bailey the year ahead of her as a shy gentle giant in Ravenclaw '80. Marie-Louise Prewett was two years her junior but also super shy, Slytherin ' 84. Oh and Felix was two years ahead of her a Slytherin '78, he's a big gossip so I'm definitely up for a friendship and maintained friendship between them. I think that's all of them.....My goodness do I have a lot of them overlapping.
Professionally, I'm sure we can have some connections with Laurel Potts and even with @"Dahlia Potts" up to you if you'd like them to be friendly or antagonistic.
And for a wildcard idea I have Mabel Whysper to annoy the shirt out of her - but also Mabel is very good at transfiguration.

I can definitely see her and Lucy getting along! She's sort of a UC outcast, so anybody that still chooses to socialize with her won't have to care? Love the idea of a little friend posse!
As for Laurel, Delia and Ama were a year apart at school, so maybe they were also friends/friendly and Delia comes around sometimes?
And all of your other numerous options are delightful! She would have shut Fred down, but in a friendly way, as she was already in love with Hadrian, but I can see them getting a long! Felix is the other one that stands out, I can see them hitting it off as well.

Obvi Phie here! She's got a bunch of rare flower specimens & seeds at Evergardens! And I have Irene Crawley and Agrimony Macnair as people around her age too
