Ideas an help with a new professor character - Violetta DeCroix - September 19, 2023

I am looking at a character art, and what I see is a Hogwarts professor so I can play an adult but still go to do school stuff because I want to hogwarts.

I liked the idea posed that he may once have been a cursebreaker and now moving to professor.

But I can't figure out what class he might teach? Is there anyone itching for a specific class to be taught and what would said class entail. The ideas I am curious about are

Ancient Runes with personal leaning into understanding and deciphering curses

Earth magic with a sprinkling of golemancy (mud/stone golems)

But I am open for options. Face claim will be Adam Driver.

I don't have any students so no requests for specific classes played, but just for the record these are the subjects that cursebreakers are required to have NEWTs in: Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Charms, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Potions. So although we don't have canon sources for what cursebreakers do, it stands to reason that those are the ones used most in the day-to-day of a cursebreaker's job and therefore the subjects a former cursebreaker might be most qualified to teach

Arithmancy and Ancient Runes are the two of those that are currently open (the others already have professors).

(But I think the golem idea is really cool also!)

Haha, so this is Gus’s entire back story. He’s the dada professor when I choosing, I felt that fit lol
