What: Quaderash Promotional Tourney
Who: Thom Pettigrew to sponsor; predominantly MC women are invited to participate; open to anyone to attend.
Where: Padmore Park
Why: To promote his new game! The highest scoring individuals throughout the tournament will win a free Quaderash set.
When: 6th June
Kicking off in the late afternoon, the tourney will last however long it lasts (probably no more than about four hours total) and will consist of two or three matches, depending on the amount of interest generated. Participants will be exclusively women, and the marketing campaign/invitations to participate were geared towards the middle class, though reputable working class ladies may be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Upper class women of a suitable social standing (most likely debutantes with parental permission or young and relatively spry working UC women) may also be allowed to participate. Three participants who do well enough in their individual matches will be awarded free Quaderash sets (contact Lynn if you would like your played character or NPC friend/sister/wife to be one of them).

Spectators are welcome. Small stands will be erected on either side of the pitch to allow them to watch in comfort, and complimentary light refreshments (non-alcoholic drinks, Quidditch-style concessions) will be available to keep them occupied. Quaderash sets and miscellaneous Quidditch and/or flying equipment, for men and women, will also be available for purchase at the merchandise booth, and someone will probably be wandering around handing out flyers on Quaderash so that people watching can learn the rules and know what's going on.

What: Spring Fern-Hunting Party!
Who: Hosted by Livia Crabbe! It's advertised as an open event, though the wording of the flyers makes sure to make it clear that it's directed towards "ladies of good breeding". Specific (not really, just assume :P) invitations, however, are being sent to UC/MCAB eligible gentleman (7+ rep) to offer the newly-debuted debutantes a chance to find a husband.
Where: Where will it be taking place?
Why: Self explanatory.
When: June 08th!
Livia & co. have hired a professional charm...er(?) person to enchant a decent-sized magical tent in Padmore Park to be much larger on the inside to serve as a jungle-looking world where ladies (and the gentleman who receive invites!) can wander looking for ferns (as per my latest discovery). Think Hunger Games area with the way it's constructed, but without the murderous children, electric boundaries, and ravaging mutts!

Fern-hunting parties provided opportunities for ladies to wander outside the direct gaze of their chaperons for short periods of time, usually to hunt ferns to put in their little glass cases that were fashionable at the time! It could also allow time to meet a beau in private, so that's an option ;).

Then YOU are invited to Merriweather Mulciber's coming of age party!

Rufina has pulled out all the stops. The cake is actually a cake sculpture of the birthday boy, a winged pony is on hand to give rides to the youngins', and cards and dancing have been set up as per your typical UC function. Also there's a champagne fountain. Also fireworks. Gifts encouraged.

What: PSYR Recruitment Luncheon
Who: Hosted by PSYR. All current students, former students, and potential students (and their families!) are invited
Where: PSYR
Why: Recruitment. Obvi.
When: June 6th
Are you a young lady in need of finishing? A parent who wants their daughter to have an extra edge over all the riff-raff debutantes? PSYR is probably for you, and to prove it, come on down to our luncheon!  Rub shoulders with current students and their families, and with the young ladies who have left our hallowed halls to make society their bitch.

A series of tables have been set up in the garden for light luncheon fare. All guests will draw a number from an elegant bowl when they arrive, and that will be the table at which they sit (6 per). Naturally, a tour of the house will also be provided, as well as some appropriate lawn games.

What constitutes a potential Rose?
  • 15-20
  • Upper class; potentially middle if your father runs a Ministry or Hospital department or is some sort of industry magnate
  • Has not already irrevocably ruined their reputation
  • Female
Ends in time to attend Quaderash in Padmore Park.

What: Belvina Black's Birthday Tea Party
Who: UCPB children and parents
Where: Grimmauld Place, London
Why: Did I mention that Belvina is turning two?
When: June 14th, 11am - 2pm
A big tea party for the children. Pleasant weather will be enforced if it fails to occur naturally. Not a huge event but Ursula couldn't let it go by uncelebrated. Parents will be offered light snacks and a separate part of the garden in which to congregate so as not to feel oppressed by their own offspring.

Why: The youths just graduated, and what better way to prepare for the poor life choices ahead then by getting buzzed (or drunk, if you're wildly irresponsible) at a pub gathering with all your friends? ;)
When: June 8th
Handsome's buying drinks for anyone he knows and expects to get at least moderately tipsy. He's generally discouraging any activity that might see them thrown out before the sun sets, but that doesn't mean anything.

    ❧ Female friends of the above (e.g. Emmeline Woodcroft, Madeleine Backus, Katherine Midford)
    ❧ Hogsmeade Howlers
    ❧ Incoming 6th+ years, provided they'd have reason to know the graduating students!

You know who's not invited? Kristoffer Lestrange. Tipsy!Handsome will fight you if you show up ;)

Of course, anyone generally in that vicinity at the time is free to make an appearance and be all "why the heck are there a bunch of teenagers roaming around this goddamn pub? D<"
