Hi! I'm Oryxia (or Callie!), I write Ann Colton, a half-blood wandmaker at Ollivander's, Hogsmeade and wife to Hogwarts Muggle Studies professor, Silas Colton. I'd imagine she'd be a relatively familiar face to the Hogsmeade and Hogwarts community, especially those who've needed a new wand in the past fourteen years, or are looking for information on wands. While not quite as experienced or skilled as Mr. Ollivander, she still serves the wizarding community with finely crafted wands.

Some thread ideas I'd love to do, with those who're interested!:
  • Hogwarts students (new or current!) who're in the market for a new wand,
  • Witches & Wizards in the market for a new wand,
  • Individuals who might be curious about wandlore,
  • Aurors & Law Enforcement looking for information about a specific wand,
  • Class visits to Ollivanders, Hogsmeade,
  • Chats with familiar faces of the Hogsmeade & Hogwarts community,
  • Chats with friends & colleagues of Silas Colton,
  • Pretty much anything else!

Hi there!

I don't have any real solid connections, but Eugene Scamander was in her house/year at school. He lives in Hogsmeade too!

Quincey Honeyduke is a local fixture as he owns and runs the sweet shop!

Caspian Virani also owns a shop on High Street as well.

Gemma Simpson is my perpetual graceless gremlin, not above breaking her wand or needing a tune up for her current one!

Daffy's family owns the Hogsmeade florist, which is also on High Street and she probably has a sister around Anne's age. She now lives in London, but frequents Hogsmeade often to ~visit.

Rhys Gallagher is the chief constable in Hogsmeade!

Halloo! I have a few people for you, none too specific though:

My Hogsmeade Dwellers:
— Irene Crawley is a painter and art conservator at the Magical Portrait Gallery! She's generally very jovial and friendly with everyone, and likely can be seen frequently around Hogsmeade.

— Hestia is the Barkeep at the Hog's Head. She can be a bit brash and blunt, but she has a soft spot for a lot of the orphans she sees on the street and has already taken in a few of them under her wing (aka, made sure they had a decent meal, or place to hide if they got in trouble). She's a con-artist and thief however, so might not be for Ann xD

— Malice Wakefield is my reporter! She works for the DP for Crime & Politics so I can see her potentially developing a relationship with Ann if she had any questions about wands and their functions!

Law Enforcement:
Faustus Prewett here is Head Auror, so I imagine he might know Ann if he needs to ask her questions about wand lore!

Meredith Edgecombe works at the Ivy Leaf Bakery which has a branch in Hogsmeade!

It'd be fascinating to explore a relationship between Ann and Eugene Scamander seeing as they were at Hogwarts in the same year, and the same house no-less! I could definitely see run-inns with Quincey Honeyduke & Caspian Virani as I'd imagine that'd be a common occurrence when you both live and work in the same town. And, of course, Gemma Simpson is more than welcome to pop in for a new wand or minor repairs!

I believe Rhys Gallagher may possibly have some interactions with Silas based on what's coming? So there's a possibility of an interaction there too!

Irene Crawley sounds lovely, I'd imagine both Ann and Silas (Ann's husband) would possibly frequent the portrait gallery, would love to see an interaction in that case! As for Hestia I couldn't see Ann getting on with her either, with Ann being the lawful-good type, especially if she learns of what she gets up to in her past-time Wink.

I'd love to see some interactions with both Malice Wakefield & Faustus Prewett should an interaction fit anywhere in your stories with them!

With Meredith Edgecombe, I can absolutely see Ann visiting the bakery, she may even be a regular customer!!

Hey! I'm down for anything, I never quite got a solid reply on Rhys/Silas, so not exactly sure where that stands, but the rest are pretty easy! Eugene could use something new, maybe some small creature gets into the wand shop?

omg I totally missed this I'm so sorry. Malice could use something new! Maybe she's visiting Ann for a question about a case she's in?? :D
