post-holiday plans & plots <3 - Flora Mulciber - December 18, 2022

I know I'm not as active right now as I have in the past, and it's not for a lack of wanting! I've been working 70+ hour weeks between my office job and B&N part-time job, but it's slated to slow down the week after Christmas. I'll be reducing my B&N hours until my year anniversary with them rolls around, which will hopefully allow me to become full-time with them and them only!

I need to get some solid things going with characters and decide what their lives have been like, AND figure out what direction they're going in!

right now my roster is slated as:

Bella Scrimgeour — is now 24 and hasn't done a lot in the past few years. Finally having a middling reputation has opened her up to becoming a magizoologist, and now she's living in Irvingly with a group of girls. She's my most drama-prone character, so I'd like to find some trouble to get her into <3

Cameron Gillenwater — is halfway through his final year at Hogwarts and hasn't had much activity over the last year and a half. He's still aiming for enough NEWTs to become a healer and is simultaneously captaining the Gryffindor quidditch team, and I imagine it's taken a toll on some of his friendships. Who of Gryffingroup is he still close with/would still be close with him? Are there any other 7th year characters (maybe newer ones, maybe older ones) who he might have bonded with in the meantime? Other students who want to be healers who he might have latched onto? Actual healers who might correspond with a student with healing aspirations?

Flora Mulciber — is still struggling with her father's death and the fact that her mother was deemed a suspect. Is definitely not her vivacious self this year, but is dutifully fulfilling her prefect duties. She left all her clubs this year save for art, where she's started painting gloomier pictures. She chose to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas instead of going home to spend time with her family.

Frida Lestrange — is 19 and still unmarried! I would be down for a semi-arranged (either through Nephele ICly or us players OOCly). Would love for her to marry someone who's the opposite of her in every way, or some sort of situation that would prevent her from being immediately happily married. I don't want her to get boring after marriage so give me fun plots <3

Holly Scrimgeour — is no longer prefect due to her inactivity, so she doesn't have that to play with, BUT it also means she's free to return to her bitchery without consequence. She's practically an adult now which is wild, so I'd like to have her acting like a broody young woman instead of a bratty child for once :P

Lachlan MacFusty — came back for a single thread, will probably stick around after. He's become something of a recluse in the Hebrides but obviously that should change due to plotty circumstances!! I'm down for almost anything with him.

Raphael Malfoy — has a solid plot going on right now, but I'd love to thread him with other people who would bring out other sides of him. UC men, family members, etc.

Other characters I intend to bring back v. soon.

Charity Lloyd — I just watched Enola Holmes and her muse is demanding a fun ~mystery~ plotline. You know, one first years can solve. Also lmk if there's drama in the fam so I can drag her back into that! She also needs Hogwarts friends 3

Dionisia Fisk is being brought back imminently <3

Dio is due for a full mental breakdown shortly so Ben might be of use (or lack thereof LMAO) there!

For Bella I have Gemma Simpson returning! They were both Gryffindors a year apart, and Gems has never been one to care much about reputations etc. She's been away for a couple years finishing up her apprenticeship for herbology, but is back now and could use some friends! Eva's on vaca at the moment, but hardly ever for long, if you need her!

weeeeee should probably figure out where Slammie is XD

I have some side-drama for Raf, as Torie has found herself very entangled with Anthony Alderton and that's problematic for two reasons; one, he's a halfblood, and two, youngest sister with a serious prospect. Not sure how Raf feels about that, but it's out there! Also Beckett for bros.

Not sure if you wanna toss Lach and Jess together fold old time's sake, but I thought I'd throw it out there!

I think we may have mentioned Daff and Dio being friends in the past, so if she needs a friend, Daff is always around!

ohhh Gemma <333 Yes a solid friend for Bella! If Gemma has a specific plot or something, Bella's always available to play a supporting role <3.

I am very much team "Slammie has grown apart but never officially broke up and now awkwardly dances around each other" OR "Slammie passes notes between classes because they don't get enough time to hang out but now something's happened that makes them confront it" but either way, yes, we need to figure it out xD

I am SO down for Raphael to be included in that because it sort of mirrors his own romantic woes (him forming an emotional attachment to Rowan, who is pureblooded but basically poor) and I'd love to see how he handles it both internally and externally <3

Depending on what would bring Lach and Jesse together, I'm down! I need to finish his current thread to figure out where he is mindset-wise, but then we can chat about it!!

Yes to Daffy/Dio friendship resuming! She's headed for a mental breakdown so she might need support Smile

For Bella: Alright, I've got a few picks for you; Bella worked at the Hog's Head briefly, right? So that means she likely knows Hestia — then I have Tilda who I think helped Bella when she was dealing with her father. My two new ones are Philomena Sprout and Mabel Brighton who are 24 and 25 respectively. Phie was in Bella's year, but just in Hufflepuff, and Mabel was in her year as well but in Ravenclaw!

For Flora: Hi I have Faustus who hates that the Ministry did this again to another family member. Also your bestie's father so :P

For Frida: Adrienne is newly married into the fam and a year below Frida <3

For Lach: If you still wanted to do Mabel/Lach I'm down! Other than that I have your sister here Tilda, which I'd love to see Eugene and him thrown together at some point xD (cc: @"Daffodil Potts")

For Raf: we got that covered, we just need a ship name for them

Re; Slammie, I have been vaguely, trying not to mention too much so I didn't make assumptions, loosely leaning towards the drifting apart scenario, but we should nail down some specifics to give us both some foundation to go on!

Yay Malfoy drama! There's lots of good stuff happening I can fill you in on so you're caught up!

I had no specifics for Lach/Jess, but his muse is a hot mess, so we can put that on pause until you figure out where Lach is. I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT EUGENE. Whoops. He has uh, big plans for Tilda. I would be very interested to know how Lach feels about that.

Daff is currently in a good place herself (for now >D) so it's available for all your supportive needs lol

He and Cad should be shitty to each other again - it'll make a change from Cam living rent free in Cads head. Cad has been on a charm offensive with Cameron's friends in the past year befriending them as best he can. So there should be fall out from that!

Cad is also an option here! They have/had a thread they can continue



Frida
Nel is here for marriage arrangement threads!
We should also thread her and Thaddeus Flint - he thinks he wants a docile/submissive lady at least in theory and Frida would seem to fit the bill. There would be dark magic in her future and the bibliomancy plot tie ins.

Lachlan
Maddie was flirting with his cousin for a bit and is doing magical animal breeding, so possible approached the McFustys for additional assistance with one of her charges?

Rapheal - Thaddeus is my main option here, trying to recruit him Knights, or trying to get him to take his seat in the Knights?

Charity - Odessa Pettigrew and Honoria Rookwood have a little ladies club, they have matching powder blue quills and consider themselves the creme ladies, we can talk about it further on discord if you're interested.
