This is Ermengarde! She was a spinster until she was 34, when she married a 25 year old! *le gasp* There was nothing scandalous in how or why they got married - other than their age.  Now in her 40's she lives in England with her husband and their kids, so that her children will attend Hogwarts rather than Beauxbaton.  She lives in London, but keeps a house in Hogsmeade, as well as a country residence and a place in France. 

She is a bubbly, convivial and pleasant woman who adores her family.  She is generous with both her time and her money, and once she decides you are her friend it's rather hard to dissuade her of the notion.  She was never pretty, never the centre of attention and doesn't much mind the fact that she was never the belle of the ball, happy to allow others to shine, but isn't a wall flower or gauche.  Infact she is socially adept, and easy in public settings, but was better at being the supportive friend than being the centre of attention.   

She is known as a writer of novels in both French and English - mostly social problem novels or historical fiction. 

• Friends - She is likely to have a lot of them! She was never a rival, she would always have just been the plain friend.  I would love for her to have 2 or 3 exceptionally pretty and well married buddies who genuinely like her.  Ideally friends since school MC/UC AB. 
  
  Also rather likely to bring in waifs and strays.  Known for 'fun' parties - nothing too pretentious but if you want a silly good time she is your woman! If it's your birthday she has gone and done something extravagant for your birthday!
