RE: Beta Woes! - Sisse Thompsett - February 21, 2018

2 minor things that are probably just Fallin being picky, but....

1.) When you click to a character's profile there is no place that lists who plays that character easily visible on the profile. For someone newer to the site I still (blushing to admit this) have to look up which character is which player here and there and have a tendency to just click on character names as it was super visible on the old site.

2.) I primarily use my phone since I'm a rebel during breaks at work and I can only see forums, once I click in to them I can see threads and see the original thread poster. But I can't see who was the last person to reply until I actually go into the thread. Is there a chance that is in the pipework?

That info is in the "player" tab of the profile. Smile

IDK what Olive's plans are for the mobile site exactly, but you can tell whether there are new posts or not without opening up the thread and scrolling through already. There's a subtle difference in shade with the thread icon &mdash they get darker/brighter when there are new posts since you last looked at it. They usually look kind of faded/muted.

It's obviously less convenient than the actual site, but mobile is probably always going to be at least somewhat less convenient than the actual site xD

This is new for me! When I look on the profiles, it seems the avatar container width is smaller, and as such the avatar overflows onto the side of it.

Going off what Kayte said about broken links to me via skype so don't kill me please xD

The occupations list has some links that haven't been added yet! The professional quidditch section doesn't have the link inputted that lead to the teams and schedule despite the fact that the documentation itself has been posted.

In Hogsmeade, Dervish and Banges' canon characters don't have the link! Neither does Mr. Dursley in Irvingly, as well as any of the London canons on the occupations list. The Fudges link is totally broken, too!
Fixed - K

Thread closed.

Thanks for your help so far, team! Our delightful wizards Ursula Black and Declan Wood are hard at work fixing all the issues that have been reported thus far, and will let you know when they're done. Until then, please refrain from reporting any issues that aren't broken links, typos, or "oh god why can't I log in" Wink

The staff bio links reference the CML or have links to "other" that go nowhere.
