She could have fought for him to stay and help, but he was offering her free reigns—no supervision! She perked up at the offer, a smile finding its way back to her face in an instant. "Perfect!" she chirped, flashing him a over-dramatized grin. She'd make his house into a home—which, in her opinion, it was currently not. She'd still retained her preference for aesthetic beauty from living with the Scrimgeours despite doing her best to assimilate into a working class lifestyle. "I'll care for the pups, and you'll say hello to Dagda for me."

Jamie hated smiling. He was though the smile was quite faint. But, she seemed quite happy with herself. With a groan, he slowly got up to his feet with the pup still cradled against his chest. "You can start Monday then," he said simply as he took a step toward her and motioned for the white pup, "Until then, I think it's time for these two to get off to bed. I may not be far behind."

Bella pushed herself off the ground and scooped the white pup into her arms with as much gentleness as she was capable of. She cradled it against her chest, resisting the urge to coo as it sniffed and sneezed. "Where do you want me to bring her?" she asked, glancing up as Jamie while she rocked the snoozing pup.

Jamie's gaze narrowed slightly as she asked where he wanted her to take the pup. He wasn't all that sure he wanted to show her to his bedroom. That seemed too.. intimate. Even if it was just to take a sleeping pup to lie down. "Just give'er to me," he said gruffly as he motioned with his hand for the pup again.

Bella held Frideswide closer to her chest, her lips tilting down into a frown. "I can bring her. Just show me where to put her," she countered, her brows furrowing defensively. It wasn't that big a deal, was it? Jamie had practically said one was hers (and anyways, she'd be cleaning this place up next week).

Jamie continued to frown, eyes darting from the pup held tightly to her chest then back up to her face. "Their beds are in my bedroom," he said, raising a brow before adding, "Ever gone to a man's bedroom with a man before?" Perhaps putting it in such a way would bring her to see sense. He hoped.

Bella narrowed her eyes. "Maybe I have," she challenged. "But in this case, I doubt walking into your bedroom will be the most scandalous thing I've ever done." Hmph.

Jamie chuckled. Probably the last thing needing to be done in that moment but he did it anyways. "Alright then, lass," he said with a smirk as he turned away and walked from the small room and into the kitchen.His bedroom adjoined with it and so it wasn't a long walk through another doorway until they were in his room. Which.. wasn't much of a room.
It was small, much like the other rooms in the house, but one large bed took up the majority of it. There was a small walkway to allow a person to walk along the front and either side of the bed. It was perhaps the cleanest room of the shack but that was only because there was very little in it. The massive bed was piled with a variety of quilts and even some furs and a wardrobe rested against one wall. It was closed up nicely with no bits of clothing hanging out. Then on the one side unoccupied by anything, were the beds for the pups.
He walked over to that side of the bed and gently laid Arawn down on one of the piles of blankets before he sat on the bed to move out of her way so that she could do the same with the white pup. He didn't say another word though. He stayed quiet and simply watched her.

Bella silently followed Jamie through the shack and into his bedroom, her eyes taking in as much detail as she could. A lot of it needed cleaning, and Bella began formulating a plan of how she'd go about her tidying up. Once they arrived and Jamie motioned to the pups' bed, Bella lowered her head and moved to lay the pup next to her brother. (Was it normal to have separation anxiety with a creature she'd just met? Because she definitely felt it.)
"Okay, I'm ready to go," she muttered as she walked past Jamie, touching his arm as she exited through the doorway. Hopefully, she thought, little Frideswide would survive the night... and the next one, and the next one.
