RE: Drunk Last Night - Quincey Honeyduke - August 5, 2018

Well, Felicity certainly seemed to have a better handle on this than he did already. "Sounds like a good plan, thanks for offering to help." For all his hesitations in coming over here this morning, Quin had to say this was working out alright. At least Lis was in a better mood than when he'd arrived. If all he'd been able to do was lift her spirits, he could call this a mission accomplished.

"Ah, yeah, always been fond of brighter colors." He shrugged, scratching the back of his head absentminedly. Quin was a bright kind of guy, bright candy was more enticing, drew more people in. "I don't, but I could put something out in the community to see if there's anyone around." It was just a thought, though he kind of enjoyed the idea. That was a long way off however. With the fog still plaguing them, Quin had absolutely no idea just how long he'd be out of commission.

Quin looked around for the little kitchen rag he'd used early to dry his hands earlier and brushed the leftover flour from them. He then proceeded to shove them into his pockets. Without anything to do with his hands, he would start fidgeting any minute. Quin had never been so idle or so restless in his entire life until the troll demolished his shop. Thinking it might be time for him to get going, he wasn't sure how to bring it up, or if she even wanted him to.

Felicity smiled warmly at his thanks but she waved it it. "It's the least I could do," she offered with a shrug, "There's not much a can do by way of helping and I'd really like to help you. You don't deserve any of this." She still seriously thought such. Quin deserved so much better. He was just too good of a man to constantly be dealt such a bad hand.

"Bright colors are great..but when you've got such bright wares being sold, you need something that's going to help them to stand out. Otherwise it gets all rather distracting," she added simply. She simply went on to nod in regard to the artist. She'd surely do some thinking on it in the meantime, maybe even some asking around.

Noticing his movements, she couldn't help but to laugh lightly. "I think we're done with the bread here," she started, looking to him with a humored sort of twinkle to her eyes, "If you need to go, I should be fine here."

Quin nodded along as she spoke. He agreed, but had never really thought about it before. It made sense, clearly, but he wasn't exactly the most clever when it came to things like that. This was going to work out alright, he supposed. Well, if he could get it off the ground again, that was.

"I probably should," He'd pretty much accomplished what he'd set out to do after all. Lingering longer than was necessary probably would look odd, he supposed. Great, now he was going to be second-guessing a lot of things he hadn't bothered to think to much about before. That probably came with the territory now though. He'd get used to it, likely.

"I'll see you soon though, I'll wager." Quin passed her an easy smile before folding the towel in his hands and setting it back on the counter. "You know where to find me, if you need a pick-me-up, or anything else." He kept trying to remind himself her fiance had just died, but frankly he kept forgetting about the poor bloke. It was crass yes, but true. He'd have to be more mindful of it.
