Watching the two young ladies as they spoke with one another, he did worry slightly that Avril would buy a bit too much black. Even for one in mourning. "Thank you, Miss Flint. I think you just made her day brighter. While we may be in mourning, I hate to see my siblings so sad. Mother and father would never wish such sadness upon us. I think I best go check on my other sisters, before the select a bit too much to take home."

"I would be happy if I even made a minute of her day, then." Lucy told him with a sad smile tilting her head and a gentle inclination of a nod. "It was nice to see you again. I do hope next time you will have good news to share." She said with a sincerity, really wishing she might run into Mr. Lukeson again at some time. He seemed as in need of cheerful conversation as his sisters, she mused as she watched him walk back to the three red heads clustered by the ribbon, her stockings all but forgotten.
