Bella was stumped; how was she supposed to know what to do? She was no more experienced — even less so, considering that she'd only been in upper class society for seven years! — than her friend. "Well I don't know!" she pouted, crossing her arms over her chest. "I have connections, but they're not desirable ones." Scrimgeours, Bulstrodes, Lestranges, Flints — Regina would hate them, and she wouldn't doubt that they would hate Regina.

Regina knew that something had to be done, so that her reputation... and life... could be saved. Thinking while Bella talked, something clicked in her head. Connections. Of course! Bella was her connection, and so was Cora. Even if she was bluffing, she could still state that they would be by her side if he tried to harm her. "I need to write a letter." She stated.

Bella cast a cynical gaze at her friend. A letter? Bella's friends were not particularly known for making the smartest choices — even the respectable ones like Regina. "Do what you need to do." Her quiet words were followed by a silent nod, fearing that questioning Regina would only lead to the blonde further trying to involve her.
