I hold my peace, sir? no; No, I will speak as liberal as the north; Let heaven and men and devils, let them all, All, all, cry shame against me, yet I’ll speak.
He has touched my ankle and seen me with my hair down (not intentionally, of course!), so I'm pretty sure I already know what it feels like to be married.Helga Scamander in Helga's Boy Book

Mason stands above average height at five foot ten, though you would never know it as he's usually hunched over something or another or slouching. With dark messy hair and a perpetual stubble one could say he often looks disheveled, but it's mostly because he's elbow deep in dirt and distracted. He dresses casually has he's often getting dirty and doesn't see the point in wearing nice clothes when he's going to ruin them anyway. He's slender without much meat to his bones, but he's still pretty strong. It's mostly because he's too busy to remember to eat. Mason has deep hazel-green eyes that are often far away thinking on something else. He's right-handed.
caring, intelligent, soft-spoken, nerdy about plants, easy-going, stern in his classroom (for safety), approachable, amiable, trusting, easy to manipulate, scatterbrained, loves to teach and learn, hates to be a disappointment, disorganized, messy, always reading, always busy, forgetful.

[November 30th, 1858] | Mason Elijah is born the first and only child to Edison and Morwenna Skeeter.

[1862] | Edison suffers a fatal injury at work and passes away. A hardly four year old Mason is too little to understand, he understands something big has happened and that it makes his mumma sad. His new nanny is very good and he starts learning the basics of reading and writing.

[Spring 1864] | In an attempt to help his nanny reach something, Mason displays his first sign of magic and levitates the book she is reaching for down to the table to be used for story time.

[School Year 1868-69] | Mason heads off to school at Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff. This comes as no shock to any as he has always been a kind and understanding person, if a bit of a scatterbrain.

[School Year 1869-70] | School proves to come rather quickly for Mason, he excels in herbology, potions and charms.

[School Year 1870-71] | Mason adds Care of Magical Creatures and Arithmancy for his electives classes. Quidditch strikes his fancy and he tries out, but isn't quite good enough to make the team. Ever unperturbed, he plods on with his studies.

[School Year 1871-72] | Mason starts tutoring some younger schoolmates and finds he enjoys teaching quite a bit. He has always been a people person, but really enjoys the connection of learning with others. In never having any siblings, he seeks out connections with general success.

[School Year 1872-73] | Selected to be a prefect this year, OWLs prove to be a challenge, but Mason gets through with very good grades, earning top marks in herbology and charms.

[School Year 1873-74] | Mason continues his prefect duties and chooses to continue Charms, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures for his NEWT classes.

[School Year 1874-75] | As a seventh year prefect, Mason realizes that he's about to graduate. NEWT classes go well for him and he receives great marks in his classes. His mother accepts a job at the newly established Hogsmeade Ministry and the two move there during the school year. Upon graduation Mason debates between working at the hospital and at the ministry. Neither really struck him as a career path he wanted so Mas went a different route, choosing to stick his strengths and working in agriculture and herbology.

[1875-1880] | Mason works at various, large magical farms in the country, quickly adapting to the lifestyle. He moved around a bit, trying different kinds of farms and at the last one fell for the owner's daughter. Unfortunately his affections are not returned and she is married off to another farming family.

[September 1880-June 1883] | Deciding on a change of scenery, Mason moves back to Hogsmeade and starts working in the apothecary.

[Summer 1883] | The herbology slot opens at Hogwarts and Mason applies thinking he'll never get the job, but his excellent NEWT scores and real world experience land him the position. He eagerly awaits the start of the term in the fall. He is currently still living with his mother and enjoying a free summer before the term starts.

[Autumn 1884] | His first year of teaching under his belt now, Mason feels more and more in his new profession and spends quite a bit of time in the greenhouses, fixing them up and rearranging in his free time.  On a visitation weekend to the town proper, Mason meets a young lady named Martha Denbright in her family’s toy shop. She’s a recent graduate and he’s awkward, though he does enjoy their interaction.

[1885-Present] | Mason continues at the school and enjoys it with each passing year. There’s something to be said about the position, though it is not without its challenges, that he finds fulfilling. Presently he is worried about his mother and her health however and wonders if he should return home to live with her, though he knows she wouldn’t want that from him.
» Mason has been teaching herbology at Hogwarts since 1883.
» His mother is a werewolf- hell he doesn't even know that!

Mason was more than content to let the little, yet certainly capable, Miss Connolly take charge of the situation. She barked orders like she knew what she was doing and so Mason lumped into the group accordingly as they approached the lake.

What they came across was as eerie as it was unsettling. Even the air seemed to pause, hanging there in anticipation, but the lake. The lake was decidedly not normal. Pink was not a common color for water, nor was he sure about that odd ring forming near the middle. "Suppose it's poisoned?" That was his only logical guess- though he didn't have long to ponder it as he whipped around a crack of a branch nearby. In the odd silence of the woods at the moment, the sound stuck out in increasing  contrast.
