Camille Scrimgeour
There was more judgement in her sister's eyes. It seemed that this would always be her life when it came to Holly. At least Camille knew what was happening in that part of her life. Not everything was that guaranteed in life. - Camille Scrimgeour; What's Wrong With This Family?

and family
Aunt: Chrysanta Lestrange née Scrimgeour (1834)
and family
Eyes: Green

Hair: Brown

Height: 4' 10"

Clothing: Though she used to dress to show off her high status, as part of her act of rebellion, she tends to wear clothes that are border-line Middle Class.

Dominant Hand: Naturally left handed, this was trained out of her like any other person of her status. Though she still holds her wand with her left hand.

PB ~ Laneya Grace

Extravert: Though she used to be a bit shy, she has always been a talkative and outgoing person, once she’s gotten comfortable in a situation. After Emilia died, Camille ‘came out of her shell’, not knowing how else to cope with all of the loss and subconsciously feeling a need to make up for the absence of her twin.

Intuitive: Creativity is a strong attribute of hers, mainly used to find some new way to have fun (very well practiced with her twin). She tends to trust her instincts, going with what feels right for her.

Feeler: Her feelings have a direct link to her decision making. She’s warm and friendly, and is compassionate towards others (though this has it’s limits, as she is still one to lean towards her families views).

Perceiver: Schedules make her feel like she is in a cage, liking being open for multiple options of what she does throughout the day. Responsibilities are a trap, and she’s much rather have fun and keep things casual.
Amortentia: Father’s cigars and Emilia’s scent

Patronus: She shall know one day (maybe)

Boggart: Holly lying dead on the ground, the last sibling she actually tolerates.

Hogwarts Clubs: Flying, Quidditch (Chaser/Seeker/Keeper on Team Blue), and Music on piano

Star Sign: Leo

Hobbies: Avoiding family drama, quidditch club (gonna try out next year for the team, wish her luck), and playing the piano.

Pets: A kitty named Emma. She had almost named her cat after her twin, but couldn't bring herself to do so. Settling for Emma as a close alternative suited her just fine.
1876: Camille and her twin, Emilia, are born. Mother does not survive their birth, dying a few days later.

1877: Proof that muggles are crazy, as they riot over the existence of magic after it is revealed to them. The family of Scrimgeour move to Hogsmeade, as the magical neighbors are obviously going to be much more sane.

1881: A dreadful event occurs. Father actually remarries! Mother should not even be dead, let alone the family gaining a new one. Emilia seems much less upset than Camille over this news.

1884: All of Camille’s older siblings, except Holly, dies from the laughing plague. But what hurts even more is the loss of Emilia. It feels as though a piece of Camille is gone. As a result, Camille starts acting out, being a bit too rebellious for societies liking. Father lets this continue, possibly so that he doesn’t make her worse, or possibly because he has lost the urge to really care about what his daughter does.

1885: Half-brother Wilton has the very nerve to be born. Emilia is dead, and the step-monster has the very nerve to have a new baby. It feels like a betrayal. Of course, she didn’t mind the woman as much as Holly seemed to, but now she completely hates the woman.

1887: Gryffindor? Huh, seems like a weird sorting. But whatever the old hat says… right? School seems dreadfully boring. Perhaps it would have been better with Emilia? Would they have been in the same house? Camille still suspects that her twin would have been in the house of Hufflepuff, but that may just be Camille’s own opinion. Not making the team this year, Camille is determined to make the team in her second year, taking up Quidditch club for practice and actually paying attention in flying class.

1888: Cousin Bella messes up, uncle Argus attacks her. He's arrested, she's disowned, and now gossip has plagued the family. Ugh, that branch is crazy.

Due to these events, Camille begins to mature over the summer. She wouldn't want to go anywhere near the same path as Bella.

October 13, 1888: Uncle Argus dies in the asylum that he had been sentenced to be in for what happened with Bella. This brings about mixed feelings for Camille.
  • The Hogsmeade laughing plague killed off most of her immediate family, including her twin Emilia.

  • Uncle Argus was arrested for assaulting his daughter, Bella. Rumor has it that this was likely brought on by negative gossip about Bella.

  • Camille's own sister, Holly, is known for having a temper and not getting along well with others, and some may view Camille in a negative light as well given how close they are.
  • Camille was going through a rebellious faze since the death of her twin. No where near to the extent of Bella's actions. She has since begun to mature from that over this summer ('88)

  • Her parents have begun looking for a betrothal for her, like they had for her sister.
  • She hates her step-mother, and dislikes her half-brother.

  • Holly is part of a damn school cult. Camille has yet to be informed of this.

Plot Preferences: Personally, I love making plots. I like planning things out. However, I'm also willing to plan things out, to then ditch the plan completely if the muse takes me and those I thread with in another direction. My characters tend to do as they please, leaving me wondering what on earth I just typed. Trying to make them do something that they will not naturally do seems strange, and won't work the way that the plan was supposed to.

"Mature" content does not bother me in threads. Language and violence don't bother me (though if we are gonna do smut, there has got to be a good reason for it happening at all and I would prefer if we fade-to-black). However I'm not comfortable doing these things if it would not be something that my character would do, and/or if it is not for plot development.

For me, I like to try to type as much as my muse will allow. Typically I try to match with the other poster, if not posting more. I do not expect anyone to have to match my post word count if their muse does not call for it.

Abilities & Skills
  • Among all of the instruments that Camille has played in her life, the piano has always been a favorite of hers. This is a trait that she and Emilia shared.
  • Her late twin was far better at singing than she is, at least in Camille's opinion.
  • Camille does actually want to be on the quidditch team, not just as an act of rebellion.
School/Occupation-Related Stuff
  • Though studying bores her endlessly, she is a good student. Not nearly as persistent as Holly, but a good student.
  • She really wants to know what her patronus is, and fears that she won't be able to cast one due to all of the loss in her life.
Family Details
  • She always had a feeling that uncle Argus was crazy, she simply did not wish to anger her family by voicing such an opinion.
  • Holly is the only living family member she trusts, though she would never tell her sister that.
The Mysteries Of Romance
  • She has currently not recognized much interest in any gender.
  • It is very likely that she is heterosexual, and will be a big romantic when she really thinks of the chance of marriage.
  • Given the likelihood that she shall be betrothed, she will be heart broken if she and her betrothed have no interest in one another.
