Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits.

Age: 27

Gender:

Occupation: Employee at Magdalena's

Blood Status: Halfblood

Residence: London; A very cozy flat that barely fits his siblings, let alone himself

Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw

Wand: Cedar, 10 ½”, Flexible, Dragon Heartstring

Family:
Father [1883 - 1877] | Clarence Beasley
Although his father was all that the boys had left after their mother’s passing, Burt had already grieved his loss when Clarence turned to neglect his children and self. What positives Clarence possessed in relation to his work ethic and vision for his family soon departed, leaving his boys to fend for themselves at such a young age.

Mother [1835 - 1866] | Isabell Beasley
One of the sweetest women to have lived, at least in the eyes of Clarence and her boys. She provided a sense of stability and ease in the household, preventing the children from becoming too wild. Had she not perished in childbirth, perhaps the family would have held together longer than it did. Luckily, the sense of family has persisted in her name among the brothers, which Burt is ever thankful for.

Brother [1860 - Present] | Raymond “Ray” Beasley
Ray was always deemed the “fighter” of the family. He assumed a father-like role after Clarence began distancing himself from the boys and eventually passed. Although more aggressive than Burt, the two seem to get along the best out of all the brothers. Whether due to their closeness in age, birthdays, or personalities, they always butt heads and toy with one another. At the end of the day, they remain fiercely loyal and, at least according to Burt, would face death for one another.

Brother [1863 - Present] | Coleman “Cole” Beasley
The brother in which most everyone confides, Cole is the one who will keep your secrets from everyone and seems to assume the role of the mediator in most quarrels. Burt typically enjoys his company, but has noticed that he isn’t always… himself in most encounters. He seems distant as of late and engages in odd dealings with shady people. Still, burt will always turn to Cole when times get tough.

Brother [1865 - Present] | Clayton “Clay” Beasley
Clay was the one who had the dream of being an adventurer as a child and made it come true. Burt was always jealous of Clay in this sense as he too wished he could fulfill his wildest dreams for the sake of happiness and wealth. Although he sees Clay the least out of all of his brothers, due to his constant travelling, he still values the man’s ambition and perseverance.

Brother [1866 - Present] | Rodney “Rod” Beasley”
Burt was always envious of Rod for being the smart one. Rod was successful and had a future, though not without the support of his brothers. Through the Beasley’s hard work and dedication to Rod’s success, given he was the only one who had a decent intellect, the man was able to attend school through his OWLs, a feat no one else accomplished in the family bar their parents. Despite this assistance, Rod constantly rubs it in everyone’s face… well except for Ray, but that was only after he knocked him out for it. Burt is constantly annoyed by Rod and will pick on him at any given moment to bring him back down to earth.

--Unnamed Twin [1866 - 1866] | Perished in birth

Appearance
Dark brown hair, often swept back, runs atop Burt’s head and tapers down to his face where slight stubble can be found. Just above, clear blue eyes may greet you, along with thick brows and bone structure that adds further definition to his cheeks and jawline. His build is rather muscular, partially obtained from having so many brothers but primarily from tough labor and training. Burt wears standard fashion for the working class and always tries to take care of his shoes, shining them whenever he has free time. He stands at an average 5’7” and is right handed.

History
1860 | Burt is born to mother Isabell and father Clarence in late December. He is the second born.

1863 | Another brother joins the family, Coleman. Burt takes interest in the newborn as he isn’t as noisy as he would have expected. He occasionally plays with Cole when able and tries to get him to cause trouble.

1865 | Brother Clayton joins the family. Now at the ripe age of 5, trailing barely a year behind Ray, Burt feels himself superior to any joy-sucking infant. He intentionally ignores Clay because he swipes the attention of his parents away from himself. Instead, he joins Ray in whatever it is that five-year-olds do at this time. In addition, he meets a few toddler girls around his age and starts picking on them. One pushes back and causes Burt to break an arm, sending him to be treated. That memory is forever branded in his mind, primarily the menacing face of his attacker.

1866 | While giving birth to Rodney and his twin, Isabell passes away along with the twin. Clarence takes both deaths fairly hard and turns to self-medicating himself with alcohol, distancing himself from his sons. Burt is extremely upset - his mother held the family together. She rounded everyone out. Hell, she was the only woman amongst them, the only role model in his life that could nurture him and aid his upbringing with a different perspective. But she was gone now, and they had to fend for themselves. Still reliant on their father for basic needs, the brothers looked to Ray for constant support and as much guidance a six-year-old could provide.

1868 | After his eighth birthday, Burt began harassing Ray about being the same age, similar to each year around this time. Ray never took too kindly to this annoyance and as he began running towards Burt, for what the boy assumed was to punch him, Burt exhibited his first signs of magic by causing a carpet to wrap around his brother, constraining him. He proceeded to kick the roy-roll-up into a wall. Needless to say, afterwards he faced the consequences.

1871 | Ray heads off to the wizarding school.

1872 | Burt begins his first year of Hogwarts per the first year scholarship and is sorted into Ravenclaw. Ray is expelled at the beginning of his second year after a fight with another student. Burt struggles keeping up with his coursework and begins to suffer, causing him to enter a depressive state. He had never been great at writing, his penmanship was quite atrocious, and he had trouble reading lengthy passages of text. He tried issuing the help of a dorm mate for assistance and continued working with him for the remainder of the semester.

1873 | Now with a tutor in the form of a school friend, Burt had begun to see small progress in his writing and reading abilities. He could, at the very least, focus enough to get through some of the course material. Ultimately, he wasn’t able to uphold his grades at the end of the year, resulting in him flunking out of school. He begins an apprenticeship with a local shop owner to assist in baking bread and other items. At the end of the day, he takes old loaves and scraps to his brothers.

1874 | Coleman begins his first year at Hogwarts.

1876 | Clayton attends his first year at Hogwarts.

1877 | Clarence passes away during the riots after years of neglect both to himself and his sons. Burt had already coped with the loss mentally, but learning of the passing, accompanied by how his death occurred, caused him to shed one last tear for the man. He knew he would be accompanying mother wherever she may be, which made the mourning process all the more easy to bear. Ray assumes the role of father officially while Burt assists when needed. During all of this, Rod had luckily been at school and was excelling where his brothers could not. In order to ensure the last member of their family would succeed at Hogwarts, the brothers pool together their resources to push Rod so he may continue his education. At the end of the year, Burt loses his apprenticeship at the bakery while trying to pursue his boss’ daughter. He thought his efforts were stealthy, though obviously were not. He gives up on the girl and the old man.

1878 | Burt obtains another job as a shop employee at a local market stall. He does most of the heavy lifting and finds himself obtaining a fair build. Being out in the open also provides a great opportunity to scope out a potential match, and he wastes little time applying his charm to his marketing technique to facilitate a great climb in sales. Unfortunately for him, his tactic backfires and he actually drives away customers, resulting in the termination of his position. Instead, he seeks a position as a security guard for Gringotts and manages to take it.

1880 | Burt continues working on his physique to ensure he provides the best protection to the bank. He knows his wandwork is less than sub-par, so he figures being larger than potential robbers might scare them away. He casually flirts with a few welcome witches, but doesn’t pursue anything further than that in fear of being fired.

1882 | After the amount of time and effort Burt put into his work, he decided to take up a different path for slightly more freedom. He felt his talents could be utilized elsewhere and attempted to obtain work in shops either run by females or that had a fair few female employees. He wasn’t exactly successful, so resorted to a few physical labor professions throughout London.

1883 | A young woman comes into Burt’s life by way of sheer chance. She had run a bookshop in the neighborhood for quite a while and took Burt under her wing to further help his writing and reading skills. This occurred on the down-low; while Burt was working nearby, he would complete “assignments” provided by the woman and return them during his breaks. This was perhaps one of the only relationships he has had with the opposite sex that didn’t rest solely on the idea of potentially wedding or bedding her. After a short few weeks, he was relocated to another job across town and never saw her again. Without any motivation once more to continue his learning, Burt refrained from completing his work as it was a sore reminder of the woman and was, yet again, fired.

1884 | A reality check in the form of a plague struck Burt with a new perspective on life. Had the brothers moved to Hogsmeade when the town was erected, they may have faced further casualties among them. He was, in a way, glad they couldn’t have afforded it anyways but was saddened by how many lives were lost as a result of the sickness. He felt it would have been better to have lost his father to a sickness, even his own alcoholism, than to be trampled in such a disgusting fashion. In his moment of reflection, Burt began to realize the real cause of his father’s death were muggles and their crude opinions about life. He had been so immersed in muggle society prior that everyone just seemed the same… but they weren’t. Not now, not ever, and he could never forgive them for what they did to the Beasleys.

1886 | Burt had obtained several jobs over the previous two years, though none of which stuck. He felt himself either too physically capable to engage in mundane jobs and too drawn to relationships that he neglected his work. It was a never-ending cycle of harsh realizations that continuously hounded him. He ended up taking a position as a carriage driver for the time being as it was something new and he got to meet a fair few new people during the day.

1888 | Burt’s antics led him to leave his position as a driver prior to being fired. He knew it would have eventually ended in such a way thus has remained unemployed since. He is currently searching for a position in a business that gives him hope, though each day brings with it a new sense of desperation and longing to provide for the family despite their perfect capability of doing so themselves. All of the brothers have something going on; Ray with his fighting, Cole and his… whatever it is that he does, Clay and his travels and Rod with his decent profession that he never ceases to rub in everyone’s faces. What does Burt have? A resume full of short stints with jobs in the area? A list of women he has failed to garner the attention of? Oh well. He figured he had the most experience with the opposite sex out of all of his brothers and could teach them a thing or two about relationships. Besides, he has worked for so long now that any business would be lucky to have him. He’s trying to see the positives. In all his luck, he managed to obtain a position at a bakery in London called Magdalena's. It's namesake, Magdalena herself, he met at the community bulletin during the summer.

Personality
Tending to be more of a “lover” than a “fighter”, Burt seeks companionship in others with a great sense of humor and somewhat aggressive personality. He tends to be idealistic in his thinking and strives for unrealistic goals, becoming angered or sufficiently frustrated when something doesn’t go to plan. To say he has a short fuse would be accurate, though in certain situations--such as those involving a significant other or loved one--he can mostly contain his temper. He would much rather maintain a relationship than have one fall apart, which causes him to resolve conflict quickly even if that means apologizing when he wasn’t in the wrong. He is genuine, honest (for the most part), and gives his whole self to those he trusts, making him a very reliable and protective friend.

Other
Every morning (and sometimes night), Burt feeds stray cats leftovers from the previous night’s dinner and has named a few of them: Archer, Didley, and Blade. He typically escapes the house during his free time to play with them and makes them chase mice for entertainment.

Burt has poor penmanship and writing has always been an issue for him. He has been working on it since his short stay at Hogwarts, however with a lack of motivation his practice has been decreasing steadily over the years.

Burt is particularly poor at utilizing magic. Expect his spells to fail, misfire, or turn you into a goose.

Boggart: A Selkie

Amortentia: Burning wood, Cinnamon, Honeysuckle
