1882 | Charlie is born to Lucy and Charles Hutton, and he is the center of their world. He is a relatively happy baby, even though he went through a biting stage for a couple years. He blames Ignacio, mama’s friend’s son who seems to always be around, who probably bit him first, and it was just self defense.
1884 | Anthony joins the family 1888| Artie rounds out the family. Ignacio becomes his arch nemesis. (Not that Charley knows what the word means, he just knows that Ignacio is a lot like the villains in the bedtime stories Mama reads to him). Charlie doesn’t like him all that much.. With two younger brothers, Charlie likes to roughhouse with them and cause a ruckus, even if his governess constantly disciplines him for it. It doesn’t stop him, of course.
1890 | Papa dies in a boating accident and Charlie misses him terribly; the house seems so cold and empty without him, and he spends a lot of his time hiding in his room or away from his family. Charlie most definitely becomes terrified of water after that, oftentimes waking up with nightmares. He avoids bath time like it's the plague; his first burst of magic is turning the water into a block of ice so he doesn’t have to get in it.
They move back in with Mama’s family, and it is Uncle Anthony he takes a liking to, often following him around and asking him to play with him. (Or well… anything he could possibly need help with, like riding a broom and work he’s too embarrassed to ask the tutor to help him with.)
1894 | Charlie receives his letter to Hogwarts, and off he goes! He's sorted into Gryffindor. His makes some friends and has a very uneventful first year.
