Did you know?

The Language of the Flowers was a popular method to express feelings where words might be improper, but did you know other means of doing so? Some ladies used their parasols, as well as their fans, gloves, and hankies to flirt with a gentleman (or alternatively, tell them to shove it!). — Bree

Iola Hitchens for Elladora Black. The Blacks' black sheep.
This boy, then. He wasn't new. Wasn't one of the worst people in the common room, those rotten rich boys - like Mr. Jailkeeper - who could not fathom a world beyond their own farts. Was a good working class lad, so he'd heard. Had a bit of a weird looking face, and a bit of a weird thing for preaching. Still.

"She was always better at everything than Antigone - Ligeia was prettier, smarter and well liked by others."

Antigone Lestrange née Baudelaire, Sister [1867]

-Imperatrix & Cleopatra Lestrange, nieces
Her looks are far from the raven-haired and dark-eyed beauty from the narrative of Edgar Allan Poe. In fact, Ligeia shares more similarities to the character Lady Rowena in appearance than the maiden who she shares a name with.

Ligeia stands at a height of 5'3" and has an average weight. She has light complexion, blonde curls and bright blue eyes. She is slender and curvy due to the usage of corsets. As she comes from a rich family, Ligeia tends to follow the latest trends in muggle fashion though she has recently developed fondness for wizard robes. Her dominant hand would be her left.

Defence Against the Dark ArtsO
1865| Mr and Mrs Baudelaire were blessed with another daughter. Jerome Baudelaire was a disappointed that it wasn't a son. The rather pretty baby was doted and adored by the household until...

1867| The final daughter was born and named Antigone. Honestly, the almost two year old girl was excited for the new addition to their family but after a few weeks she found the baby more troublesome than she looked.

1868-1870| Her childhood was relatively normal. She often played with her sisters and cousins as well as being under the care of the governess. Lig was very close to her eldest sister as Leonie was mature and someone she could confined to but if only she weren't so serious. Antigone on the other hand, despite being at each other's throat almost daily, likes her just a tiny bit more and secretly has a soft spot for her. Her affection is usually shown through a lot of teasing.

1871| The poor maid who so happened to pass by the two arguing sisters became the victim of Ligeia's magic as her skin turned green.

1875| Due to reasons, the family moves to the English countryside. She was disappointed that they had to move far away from the place she called home and she was sad as she won't be able to attend Beauxbaton.

1876-1878|She was sent to Hogwarts and was sorted in Slytherin, the house of the cunning and ambitious, which was perfect for Ligeia. Academic-wise the snake was intelligent and excelled in her studies especially in Transfiguration. The one flaw in her grade would be on her First and Second year where she was frequently seen in the visiting the healer due to injuries at Flying Class. Ligeia has also a tendency to become lazy and not study. She had also been know to heavily tease those who she thinks are inferior to her. In her third year, she chose Arithmancy, Divination and Ancient studies as her elective. Her younger sister also joins her in Slytherin.

1879-1880| She later tones down her bullying and tries to be more serious in her studies as she aims to become prefect although another was chosen over her.

1882| She returns for her NEWTs with Defense Against The Dark Arts, Transfiguration,Charms, Arithmancy for her classes. She is also engaged to a man chosen by her parents, Mr. Nero Bloxam. She find him neither attractive nor pleasant. The only good thing about him was he looked easy to manipulate (or kill), which Lig intented to do when they get married.

1883| She graduates and Mr Bloxam’s scandalous relation to a mer caused their betrothal to be broken. Ligeia was secretly pleased.

1884| After the season ended, her interest in Transfiguration came back to her after accidentally turning the housemaid into a ferret when the woman accidentally broke her music box. She began her research on more advance spells using some of the household staff as her guinea pig, at first before her parents found out. She was then forced to buy a pair of rats whom she named Dean and Rowena. The two pets are unluckly subjected to her magical experiments.

1885| Antigone is wed to Tiberius Lestrange. She and her parents bought a house in Wellingtoshire while their former house was still used by them in the summer.

1886| Both her sisters are married and had children. This places a large amount of pressure in Ligeia to get married as well. She sometimes wished that her parents would just betroth her again and be done with it but she at least wanted a husband who was pleasant.

1887| While on vacation at Sanditon Resort she met Mr. Julius Scrimgeour and frequently ran into one another. After the vacation, they have not met again in person but they have become pen pals and she slowly grew fond of him.

※Ligeia is the middle child and the only one who isn't married yet.

※Her former fiance eloped with a mer.

※Her younger sister is married to a Lestrange

Plot Preferences: ※Ligeia is currently open for new plots and new threads.

※I mostly tend to go with the flow since my characters have their own mind and even surprises me sometimes with their actions but won't mind if we plot details out.

※I'm comfortable with writing mature content (violence, gore, dark content, swearing) is also alright with me though I prefer if we fade to black with any sexual encounter.

※My post length average is 150-200 words though I will try to match up with my partner if I can. I also depends on how much muse I have. I'm also a full time student so I can be slow in posting.

Mrs. Antigone Lestrange seems to be only two or so steps away from being a shut-in. She also had twins, which is, like Mrs. Macmillan's children, a sign of bad luck. And never mind that her husband's father was a mass-murderer!
If you stay away from these five women, you'll probably have a better time at parties.
